Forums - Nintendo - What if they are not going third party.

If they fail with the switch, and they choose to no longer make consoles, I can see Disney buying them out for 3-4 billion.

They will pay Nintendo to make games for Sony and MS, release a Zelda film trilogy, a Metroid series, EA Dice will make a Starfox game, Respawn will make Metroid and Mario will become ahive part of Disney cartoons and theme parks.

I doubt it. Disney have shown that they have no interest in the gaming industry. If anyone, I think MS would buy them.

Neither one is buying Nintendo. They have their own cash. It would take at least 30 billion when you factor in IP value. Plus that they are a Japanese company. They can't be bought.

I think they would stick with videe-uh games. Really want them to stay in the hardware world, but I can think of worse scenarios than a 3rd party Nintendo. And yes, they aren't Sega. Anybody who thought Sega was going to start running shit with no-frills arcade ports like King Of Route 66, just needed to put down the pipe and breathe. Nintendo would be a massive 3rd party dev/publisher. I just ate amazing chili tacos. Goodnight everybody.

If they really quit comsole gaming it would make no sense to not have their studios develop their top IPs for other consoles and steam. they'd just be throwing money away. But yes they could and should also invest in other ventures. Lots of money to be made.

The answer is pretty fucking obvious. Nintendo has failed too many times and if they leave the VideoGame market the only other thing they could do is Movies.

So you just ignore other company's failures and make 1 Nintendo failure the end of them? That um...really doesn't make sense.

is this a joke? Nintendo has a market value of 25 billion more or less...

You are talking about hypothetical circumstances and if the Switch were to fail. If that were to happen they may no longer have market value of $25 billion.

Since it would have cost them money To R&D, market and produce the switch, they have eaten further into their cash reserves.

We are talking about if scenarios as I don't think the Switch will fail.

If they are not going third party then I am afraid they are not going third party.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Yes, sure it is, if you can afford to shell out $1000 dollars for a playable gaming PC. :P

Not anymore, nvidia and amd have good entry level gpus for $100-$150

That's still an assload of money just for specific parts of the computer.
