Honestly, PS4 PRO launch in UK looks great, but nothing more.
It has outsold the XBO by "only" 44%, which usually is not poor, but during the launch week of the PRO, with all those pre orders months ago, well let's just say i expected more.

Now someone will say "but XB1 is increased 85% the same week because of many deals, was a strong week for XB1 too", yeah that's great and all, but doesn't this kidna confirm that: Insane deals > Expensive new powerfull hardware ?

That's why BlackFriday remain the most important thing of this month, PRO won't matter THAT much.

BlackFriday deals for PS4 this year doesn't look so good honestly. I mean, for real what have PS4 this BlackFriday outside the $250 pricedrop for the slim? I see nothing, for nothing i seriusly mean NOTHING.

For who is reading this comment. No i'm not saying PS4 won't outsell XBO. I still expect a similar gap compared to last year, if not bigger (300k), here i'm talking about a Year on year performance for PS4, and in general what November sales will be.

At one point, i made a thread about PS4 to break the Wii record of +2M in November NPD. Well, something that now is looking seriusly too unlucky. I never expected that much, but i thought there was a chance, now, well just not sure anymore.

Last year PS4 sold 1.54 million in november NPD. This with two strong bundle, Star Wars Battlefront and Uncharted TNDC, and, most important, not one, not two, but THREE big release:

- Call of Duty: Black Ops III
- Fallout 4
- Star Wars: Battlefront

What's really strong about this line up is not really the fact that all those games are big, but all have a difference audience.

- Star Wars Battlefront: It's Star Wars. Many fans of the series buy literally everything with the Star Wars name, expecially during the hype of a new film.
- Fallout 4: This was hyped so fucking much for so fucking time. Bethesda is way stronger than it was years ago, and Fallout 4 got the stronger launch ever for a WRPG, even bigger than Skyrim.
- Black Ops III: It's COD. But not a simple COD, it's the freaking Black Ops. The COD comunity loved this game, and even who hated it still bought it, so whatever lol.

This year, what's games we have?

Battlefield... an FPS. COD... An FPS... Titanfall... an FPS... Which also bombed hard... and Watch Dogs 2... Which according to Ubisoft has not really good pre orders, and consering what sold Watch Dogs 1 at launch (way less than Star Wars, Fallout, or Black Ops III), well this game just doesn't looks like will be even close with the strong line up of last year... COD as well, it's COD but even nope, the drop compared to Black Ops III is massive, and there is no way that this will be a system seller like Black Ops III. But in general, who like FPS already bought a PS4 at this point, is not like another big FPS can increase the PS4 sales by a lot now, even a big game like COD or Battlefield.

So this, and as said before, the bundles. Again, what bundle has PS4 this Black Friday!? Seriusly, a game like Uncharted which is 6 months old and was never big in the US is not even close to what were the PS4 bundles last year.

In conclusion, i expect PS4 to be up YOY thanks the PRO but by a small margin. Like a 10% increase or so, so not more than 1.7 million, which is still a lot, but in my opinion this holidays Sony could have done a better job. We'll see anyway. My predictions for this November NPD:

[PS4] 1,700,000
[XB1] 1,400,000

Been ill for the last few days but will update the Pro Watch soon. Anything interesting happen in the Amazon charts?

I see the Pro has sold out in the UK! Also the Pro is holding well in the US.

Edit: Lol I see I was banned again. First one expected but second one is a joke. Get a grip mods!!!

Yay! Go Pokemon!

Don't forget, the only bundle on sale for Black Friday last year was the Nathan Drake Bundle, and that was considered a relatively mediocre bundle at the time. The Battlefront bundle stayed at its retail price until December.

Still, I am surprised they didn't introduce an Infinite Warfare or Watch Dogs bundle or something. Why pay for those marketing deals without taking advantage of them?

Yes but this situation in US and UK (where Microsoft sold better than Sony during a few months) is only a part of the world picture, where XB1 is still in a very bad situation.

They managed to sell a bit more than Sony during a few slow months of the year thanks to insane deals in UK (still available now) and US. Basically they lose a lot of money for each XB1 sold while Sony is earning truckloads of money on each products / software they sell in US, UK and the whole world: slim, PSVR + accessories, Pro + software cause you have to pay for the games of PS contrary to Microsoft where you usually get the games for free.

What Microsoft are doing in UK and US is just for PR and their shareholders, but the situation (2:1) in favor of Sony is still most probably the same.  Their Playstation products have stil lgreat value notably when you resell them.

Anyways I agree that this year Sony has not much for the holiday. They don't have any strong exclusives (because of Horizon and Gran turismo delays) and they have a bad COD this year and bomba Watchdog 2 when on the other hand Microsoft has a great Battlefield.

But I still think that the XB1s effect we saw those last months is going to slow down because the BF deals are not that much better than the deals we see since the release of the XB1s, so that Sony with Pro and PSVR effect will still win Nov and Dec even if not by much.

I personnaly expect PS4 to sold no more than 1.65 million, maybe less.

Both consoles will sell pretty much through their stock on BF, just because of the price

If that trend continues ww then my guess of 500k Pros first week ww will be about right. (Selling at 250k a week ww, base PS4 sales stayed the same but sales tripled with Pro making up 2 thirds)

I guess PS4 Pro sales aren't "not too hot"!
