Skyrim and Fallout 4 are a mess. Awful writing, dialogues, clumsy and archaic gameplay... Of course, it's just my opinion, but I think Bethesda has to shake things way more in both franchises.. They feel and play really outdated.

Elders Scrolls 7?
Maybe we should wait for ES6 first?

To be fair, as much as I love Oblivion and consider it vastly superior to Skyrim, it's not like you had meaningful choices to make in it, either. The Elder Scrolls in general is a franchise that lacks meaningful choice in the name of the main narrative (sure, you can go wherever you want and do "whatever" you want, but that's been the extent of it ever since Daggerfall). Complaining about it makes no sense, since it's never been a staple on the franchise's roots. There's plenty of RPGs that allow you to make choices, and if you want them you can play them. If Bethesda considers that choices shouldn't be meaningful either in the next Elder Scrolls, then so be it, because it's not like they were there in the first place.

My only dissapointment with Bethesda has been Fallout 4, and its a mild dissapointment at that, so I dont feel the need to speak out.
Skyrim HD was an obvious thing to do considering the game's comercial success so I feel thats a needless discussion.
As far as im concerned the company still delivers great quality games.

Havent played ESO online tho.

Elder Scrolls 6 is going to be revolutionay is many ways. The climate in RPG industry will force this, first after the universal praise that Witcher 3 got for it's excellent decision making (largely overlooking all the game's weaker things while they where at it sadly, but that's another story) and we'll soon have Mass Effect Andromeda with lots of innovation shining through its dialogue system and character progression, like Bioware games are always made.

Then if we're very lucky we might get a a super exciting Fallout spinoff taking place in New Orleans made by Obsidian, which is almost a guarantee for a mature game and heavy emphasis put on player's choice and karma.

So when taken all this into mind and Bethesda being more than aware of the very harsh criticism Fallout 4 got for the weak RPG-elements and the extremely dumbed down conversation-wheel, you can be sure that Todd Howard and the team will make everything they can to make the next game shine in this department.

I believe the future is looking very bright on this front.

I don't agree. Do you mean this for all their games or something? I remember playing Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3 (especially this one) and beeing amazed at the fact i can just kill an NPC that gets on my nerves and live with the consequence. In TES its a bit more difficult because of the guards.
Still, i'm not sure what you mean in terms of choice. There seemed to be alot of it to me.

Voice actors... i really didn't notice. But... sure? Why not?
Writers? Sure? Why not?

I'm not opposed to improvements, but i don't see this terrible situation you are describing. I still can't think of any other RPG that gives you the freedom TES and Fallout do.

Spoiler tags maybe?

Is the kill children mod available on console?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I'll buy another Bethesda developed game after I take a massive **** out of my hairy, too hairy for even furpie lovers, *****. I loved the new Wolfenstein games that they tainted with their publishing logo, but still feel like I compromised myself in buying them, even on firesale for $20 each. Fuck Bethesda into Oblivion. And I have something they can Skyrim. Oh, and of course this pack of assholes are leading the charge into the realm of delayed review copies. How fucking appropriately lovely that the poster children of launch day/week/month catastrophes would like to delay not critical opinion, but objective "this shit is broken" criticism of their unfinished mess.
