Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo: “Happy Additional Third-Party Publishers Showed Interest In Switch After Our Introduction Video”

"As Takashi Mochizuki said on Twitter that Nintendo is happy that “additional third-party publishers showed interest in Switch after our introduction video”. It seems the video has been really making the rounds, and third-party developers, in particular, are curious on the console.

I wonder what third party publishers is Nintendo talking about.. Hmm.

That's good to hear.

I also heard that there's a chance that the initial shipment at launch may be increased if it gets really popular at the Nintendo Switch presentation.

All good to hear. But still, only time will tell. Definitely better than the Wii U where the stage presentation was all positive and then almost immediately when the word started getting around about the system fewer and fewer 3rd parties wanted on board :P

I'm sure all of the indies that supported 3DS-WiiU and still didn't have a devkit want one now. I don't think any big dev or publishers that weren't on the list already are convinced now.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Also that list already had almost all big publishers. Even those who haven't published any game for Niintendo console for years

This means I might get to play some console RPGs on the go, right?

This basically. Also all of those smaller japanese vita developers will be looking for a new console to support within the next five years and the Switch probably looked like a wet dream to them.

Most of the big publishers/developers were on that supporterslist anyways.
