Switch will outsell the Wii U before holiday 2018 rolls around, so 1.5 years is my prediction.

I'm betting 10 million the first full year on market. It should move past the Wii U during its second year with ease.

Selling more than 13-14m in one year would be very hard, but selling more than that in two years will not be problem at all.
So I say Switch will sell more than Wii U LT numbers in less than 2 years (end of 2018).

I think Japan is going to be all over this device which will keep worldwide sales pretty high and my guess is that Switch will outsell WiiU through the first holiday season next year if the price is right!

My first thoughts were around 9m first year but could be more depending on the game library we see, Having Monster Hunter XX as a launch title and possibility of a Pokemon game as well as maybe? Sun/Moon (?) hitting the device in time for holiday 2017 could definitely push sales quite a lot and the Zelda hype is not only big with Nintendo fans but outside of it and could attract Xbox/PS users to the Switch.

Probably better to revisit this topic after 12th January and we should get a better idea of what to expect.

Nah Imy gonna say 6 million first year if games like 3d Mario and Skyrim happen. Skyrim HD could be a really big system seller but as it's already released on xb/ps I doubt it will release

This is will sell closer to Nintendo home console numbers than handheld.

Hype? Ive seen no hype aside from on here. When the PS4 and X1 were announced I saw it all over facebook. If I didnt come here then I wouldnt know it existed.

It will have good launch sales, Hardcore Nintendo fans are starved.

It will have a good first year, but I'm not sure it'll do much over 10 million. Though it's still far too early to make bold predictions, wait till january.
