Those are some sweet, sweet numbers. Sun/Moon's launch is going to be amazing, if the effect continues.

Maybe a pokemon go integration with the mainline games would help even more.
Maybe just sensing gen 1 eggs from mainline games to pokemon go, and add the steps in pokemon go to steps in mainline games, or even better ideas
but seems that this peek has passed, and it wont sell as many games as in pokemon go launch.

I wonder also, how would perform saleswise a pokemon Z, launched at pokemon go histeria, and integration features, and along with the XY & Z anime series, inclusing the buzz about ash greninja and everything.

Especially when the user base is half of the DS!

I can't wait for how Super Mario Run will affect its games. Definetly not as much as this, but seeing it back on the charts would be enough.

Once more the better game won. 

Nintendo really need to push Niantic to trully update pokemon GO and put gen 2 there, alongside trade and more fighting(fighting against other players and such).Couple that with a bit of marketing, and you could very well give pokemon in general a second push, even though not as strong as it first had.

And with less than half the DS's userbase. Outstanding!

I expect XY to end at 16-17mil at the end of its life time
