are you going to tell me that people who are not gamers are excited about the announcement of the ps4 pro and a xbox scorpio

But why would non gamers care about playing console games on a small screen with tiny, detachable controller? And if they want it for the home, they're partially in the PS4 Pro and Xbox S demographic.
Why would non gamers be crazy about the NS when they have yet to show anything it does online, non-gaming apps, multimedia capability and integration with social networks and share features? Does it have a camera? That's part of the issue here; the average 3DS customer is probably not a non-gamer, the average Wii U owner likewise, so how will the NS appeal to these customers, besides the tablet form factor which will inevitably be compared to tablets and smartphones? What's the incentive? Playing hot seat games of NBA on the basketball court or Mario Kart in the car with friends with those tiny, detachable controllers?
There's really not much for the non-gamer to excited about. They've shown Zelda, Skyrim, Mario Kart, NBA and the like on the device, none of which are titles non-gamers would take much interest in, add in the above mentioned lack of info on features outside of these games, apps, camera (?), multimedia, storage capacity and online features and connectivity and it starts to make no sense expecting this demographic to run out and pre-order this thing. For now, at least. It appears as if the NS is making the same mistake the Wii U did; trying to appeal to two very different segments of the markets and two widely different demographics, this is rarely a successful strategy, especially for consumer electronics and entertainment products.
PS: Non gamers are not excited about PS4 Pro or Xbox Scorpio either, just so we're clear.
