Only die-hard Nintendo fans thought that.  The reaction threads to the WiiU weren't kind.  It was pretty obvious that it was destined to fail.

That may be so, but truth is that when someone says something like "the Wii U being destined to rule rule this gen" one has to assume or not that the people behind that claim are die-hard Nintendo fans or not. Perhaps a posting history can give it away, perhaps the fact that we are all gamers here should also give it away, but it is still an assumption.

Maybe I want die-hard Nintendo fans to face the fact that they are wrong about their over enthusiastic expectations of Nintendo consoles in regards to sales...
