Here is the problem for a publisher like EA.

They already have a user base that's fractured 3 ways with PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. In order to put a game like Andromeda on the Switch, they'd need to adapt the engine then optimize the game itself. Obviously, that's time and money spent.

After that, the question isn't just "how many units would sell on the Switch" but rather how many unique sales would they gain? For example, what if a person who wanted the game on the Switch would buy it on the PC anyway? That would represent a waste of resources to EA.

That's why I believe that EA and other large publishers aren't really interested in turning Nintendo platforms into another outlet for games like Andromeda.

Does that mean they hate Nintendo or want them to fail? Not at all. It's a business decision. If they can generate a good return on investment with Nintendo then they will. They're just content with Nintendo being a different market and see no reason to fragment costs and resources four ways instead of three.

If the Switch sells well they'll do it.

I don't expect Andromeda to come to Switch, nor do I mind. I own a PS4 and XOne; I'm covered. I want Switch to support Nintendo games, "indies" like Runbow and Shovel Knight, and Japanese titles like Virtue's Last Reward, Etrian Odyssey, etc.

100 million PS4's? What time frame?

Of course not. It probably can't even handle it.

If your buying Nintendo products for Western AAA 3rd party games you're doing it wrong.
I honestly don't expect any of these games, I have a PC for that. It's the Japanese support and first party games that will sell it and that's why Nintendo needs to move Japanese 3rd parties from 3DS to Switch asap.

I expect only western third party games that are also on mobile.

Tall order with 3DS' install base and being soooo much easiser to develop for.
