I updated the thread with a new question after your replies! Would you mind answer it?  Do you like the xds fan concept?

Like I said, I don`t like handhelds so... no, I don`t

Kapi, the man who has a  3ds and had a wii u  ( sold it ) , doesn't like handheld consoles... I guess you're a big Poke-maniac!

No, I like the unification. I only need to buy one version of a game to play at home or on the go and I can play ANY game on the go. Remote play was a huge VITA feature for me, but this gets rid of all problems associated with it.

No lag, no net connection required, game saves likely on the cartridges, and a more steady flow of 1st party games due to the unified focus...the NS is a dream come true in my book.

Well, not with that 3DS design D:

I think this would be good enough since I would still be able to play all the mobile games, but now will be able to play console gamse on the go, which is what I would prefer anyways :p

This would break the advantage of having one platform to develop Nintendo games on.
They can just make a cheaper bulkier Switch version for children use a la 2DS.

At this point, no. Just stick to one console and bring all your games to the same system. If you want to make other versions of the same machine, fine, but keep all the games playable on them.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Pretty much. Nintendo has shown this gen that supporting two devices is difficult without much support.

No way... that doesn't make any sense at all considering what the switch is.

Nintendo would not perform well if they went down that route.

The Switch will get a stand alone portable SKU. You Won't have dual screen so it'd be closer to GBA successor

Wow, before going to bed, NO was slaying the YES... 70% vs 30%! Now they're so close!

People are fragmented...
And here lies the risk! Those who want a separate 3ds successor, for better portability and lower price, will they settle for switch if eventually Nintendo doesn't make a separate successor for 3ds ?
Will switch make Nintendo to lose many of its big core handheld console audience, the only big and somewhat loyal for them in the hardware business, probably throwing them to mobile gaming?

I hope NS to be affordable! Perhaps it will be cheap, since the dock is just a tv output and a charging cradle ( also there is no  optical disk drive ) , many suggesting that it won't be below 299$ though, I guess because the handheld device is so powerful!
3DS had trouble at 249$ and had to be cut to get at 169$...

Nintendo also cited that they won't sell the handheld device standalone...
