Forums - Nintendo - Bethesda: Skyrim is not confirmed for Switch

That is not the point of the matter. Whether the footage was real or not I don't know because I'm not an expert. The problem is the fact that Nintendo used Skyrim footage. If the game was not confirmed, Nintendo would have probably chosen another game, not just used Skyrim and risk themselves to be busted moments after the trailer. Too much risk for a game that old. My theory is that Bethesda here has a problem. They will release Skyrim HD for the PS4/XBOne way before this version comes, and they have also to follow Nintendo's instructions of not revealing something before date. And they can't say the game is unconfirmed, because we just saw it on the trailer. So they have to be purposely vague about it, even if it's obvious what is happening.

That sounds like Nintendo is the problem then.

True. Bethesda has a problem Nintendo caused. Kinda dumb to not let the 3rd parties announce their games before release, that would put the console's name on the minds of the people following said games.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Now, maybe the game wasn't even running on it but just a .avi of it being displayed?

So the supposition that the handheld is stronger than X1 because it could run Skrym Remastered have gone down?

Well... Nintendo made that Zelda technical show on Wii and it never came to light, so Bethesda uses the same card.

So Bethesda made an entire new technical showcase for the Switch? Well thats dedication at least.

Nintendo doesn't want developers to talk about their games yet. It's as simple as that. Hell, Nintendo doesn't want to talk about their *own* games right now: we have seen a glimpse of a 3D Mario game and what could've been ports of Wii U games - as if Nintendo wouldn't have enough games ready for their one and only hardware system when they usually release more than 20 games per year across platforms.

They seem to have only captured scenes of any other version and put on the showcase, who knows?

Best yet is people that think Skyrim version of Switch will be superior to Pro or Scorpio... really?

Why wouldnt Nintendo want Bethesda to talk about how they are bringing one of their biggest games to the Switch? Makes no sense...

Yet. Why would Nintendo not talk about their own big games right now? Doesn't make sense either, right? But they don't. They want all games to be revealed at once I guess.
