So, since some people might want to know some real realization, I'm positive I know where the Amiibo/NFC receptor is on the NS: it's in the base of the dock, not only this is backed by the fact that the only amiibos in the video were next to the dock, but Nintendo also made a patent to have NFC sensors on the sides of the console, they then probably realized that it's far more convenient to simply keep your amiibos next to the console so when you need them the console automatically scans them...

@ OP, thanks to you, from this day forth, the Switch will always look like a toaster to me.
