No, keeping it NX would have been better in this case. "Nintendo Switch" doesn't really roll off the tongue and it sounds bland and boring. Neither did WiiU roll, that one was even worse. Just Wii before that was always fine though.

"You wanna play PlayStation or do you wanna hit The Switch?" -actual conversion from 2017 in my house.

Oooohhh I like this, the name will make it easy to run campagnes like that, against playstation and xbox.

I think the name fits perfectly the device due to its features, but as someone who has not English as native language, it sounds a bit off to me. The name NX to me seems to cause more impact.
Anyway... it fits well... and I see people making lots of memes with its name, what would just help marketing it further

Nintendo 64 - 64 bit
Game Cube - the shape
Wii... ii = remote and nunchuck
DS - dual screen
3DS - 3D screen
WiiU - i dont know...
switch - you can switch around

pretty much follows how nintendo have been naming their system for the past years except for wii u i just really dont know

The first thing I thought when I saw the name was Morpheus saying "Switch, Apoc" in the Matrix because I thought he was telling Apoc to switch positions with someone else the first time I saw the movie. As for the console name, it's pretty 'meh'.

Yeah, it's good.

Sort of. It sounds modern, but because of that it also feels strange for Nintendo. It's also a bit soulless. At least it's more distinctive than Wii U though.

i'm going to use NS instead of switch. i've tried writing out sentences there i just say "switch" and the sentence reads incoherently.

No. It's leagues better than WiiU, but still, no. The logo looks ok though.

Like National Scocialist? :p

I think Switch is okay. Way better than Wii U. But maybe they should've switched to Nintendo.
