Yes it is a little presumptious, it depends what you mean by roughly. But a substantial boost over the WiiU in power for a handheld device isn't really feasible. Even a marginal increase would make it a phenomenal device!

Watch this footage closely on 1080p, and I think you'll notice the Switch might be considerably more powerful than Wii U:

3D World didn't look nearly as good as this.

DAAAAAAMMMMNNN you!

My hype levels just rose alot watching that video! Im trying to avoid doing a Day1.

Edit:

O M G! this looks like a Mario 64 style mario game!!!!

This isnt another SM3DW game its a real 3Dmario collectathron style one!

But it could also be a new addition to the "3D" series just like how there was a Super Mario 3D Land before a Super Mario 3D World.

Not properly.

See the squared look of the areas shown in the trailer?

These are the jiggsaw pieces I've talked about here:

Im so happy! Nintendo listened to us!
It looks like they did a Mario64 II game.

I was scared they where gonna do another SM3DW type game.

"real" 3Dmario game + Zelda game at launch + Unified library.

Nintendo Switch is going to be much better than the Wii U was.

Eh not really. That was one of the most overhyped things in gaming history. 18 months of waiting for basically a revamped version of the Wii U.

I'll buy it to play Nintendo games sure, but basically I'm being asked to pay another $200-$300 for a "proper" version of the Wii U concept.

I agree (with soundwave). I think this is what the Wii U should have been and what Nintendo was aiming for with the U originally. As I posted earlier, the Switch looks really cool and I could see it being a knockout for the die hards and loyals. However, I think at this point I'll wear out my Wii U and 3DS for the next few years before considering this console. Lucky for me, I still need to pick up Xenonlade and BotW will be on Wii U as well to last me.

The wii u was asynchronous gameplay this is either screen or machie so not the real wii u in any way. Ther real wii u would have been if the console was seperate from the screen and showing different things

Yeah, it could even be a 3D World 2, but then again that would be another "next gen" Mario to fail to be a fully new thing.

As long as it isnt New Old Super Mario Bros - it'll be a great Mario game.

Look at the "red coins" and "yellow coins".

Look at the level layout, and the camra movement, and the jumps and slides.

Look at that big "heart" (instead of a star).

This is a Mario64 type mario game!

A Uncle Janitor cousin?

Not really.

I have a good source. Myself.

Is no one gonna say, cartridges are back

And perhaps the dock is fat on one side due to a disk reader for backwards compatibility for the wiiu or perhaps its for extra juice. who knows?

Seems like packing in a normal controller and leaving the Vita thing in one piece would have been the better option.

Other than that, it seems pretty nifty. I think the gimmick part can be ignored, generally speaking, which is good.

Agreed.  Yeah, it's kind of funny that there doesn't seem a reason why you need ever detach the mini-controllers from the tablet.
And just use a "normal" controller when docked.  Although I expect they will charge you extra for that.

mobile multiplayer. You can give one of the halves to your buddy so they can control the game with a miniature SNES controller.

I was hoping for massive n64-style cartridges that give a satisfying clunk when you push em in :P
