New IP from Ninten? Sounds good to me. I just hope it's something good and fun.

And if it is true that there's gonna be a new Mario game ready for NX, I would be kinda surprised. I wasn't expecting a new Mario game anytime soon.

Pikmin 3 did happen.

Soul Calibur 5 launched too early to be part of WiiU's lineup - but Tekken Tag Tournament 2 did arrive at launch.

Clearly there was no GTA5 - but Unseen64 did confirm it was prototyped for the WiiU.

GTA V was prototyped? Really?

Paper Mario is Mario RPG, Paper Mario was much more different than 2D Mario and 3D Mario games but despite that I am not sure if I called Paper Mario completely new IP. While Mario Maker is basicly mix of all 2D Mario platform games with mehanic of "building levels or play levels of other players", so Super Mario Maker cant be relly called completly new IP like Splatoon for instance.

We can agree that we disagree, I relly dont want to spend more time on this arguing beacuse we finaly having NX reveal today. :)

I'll just say that it can be considered a new IP because of the shift in focus in the concept that defines a new IP much more than mechanics, the main draw is not the platforming but the primary concept of creating and sharing, Mario Maker is not a spin off of the 2d Platform games it's a new IP that is starting off by using Mario, later down the line we'll very likely see Zelda, DK and other compatible IPs touched upon by by the series.

But anyway we'll agree to disagree.

You consider it that is new IP just because new mechanic, but that rely doesn't make new IP, but you can't have completely new IP if game using existing world, characters and parts of previous games. Splatoon is new IP, Super Mario Maker is not.

So what!? We having rumours all the time and Emily Rogers rarely backup rumours, but she backed up this one and she was very positive about this one, beacuse she was very confident about infos from her sources.
