No that's flawed logic because Paper Mario and the M&L games have 2d platforming as well, it's a new IP that is focused on creation as I said they just used Mario for the first incarnation and in future other IPs will no doubt be touched on as it's already hinted at.

Paper Mario is Mario RPG, Paper Mario was much more different than 2D Mario and 3D Mario games but despite that I am not sure if I called Paper Mario completely new IP. While Mario Maker is basicly mix of all 2D Mario platform games with mehanic of "building levels or play levels of other players", so Super Mario Maker cant be relly called completly new IP like Splatoon for instance.

We can agree that we disagree, I relly dont want to spend more time on this arguing beacuse we finaly having NX reveal today. :)
