If you're not arguing my point and the logic i used to make that point, as far as I'm concerned, you're arguing a strawman of your own creation. It's not often in internet discussions someone gets proven right as the discussion is happening so I was enjoying that.

I've been watching a few episodes of yugioh every night before falling asleep. It doesn't get much more childish than that and I still enjoy the hell out of it.

I have no problem believing you that you weren't commenting in a derisive way, but when I was reading, it came to me that way, which is an old narrative that rubs me the wrong way.Please try to read again your posts in a Nintendo fan perspective & maybe you'll see what I mean (about starting to play on Nintendo when a child then moving on to other consoles, telling Nintendo fans that still belive in Santa that you the adult know better & telling them that they do believe in fairy tales...)!

This thread & the Red Dead on NX seems less likely now, but not impossible, it still could end up on NX, this is what I hope, despite the chances of it happening going from (IMO) 2% before this thread, up to 4% after onionberry claim, now down to 2,5% after Rockstar announcement.

I think you may have taken 1 comment that was more tongue in cheek (the santa claus one) to make out to be way more than it was. Yes, there have been plenty of fantasy threads like this one, or how the NX while being a handheld will be more powerful than a PS4, etc etc... So yeah, there are plenty of people with fantastic expectations that have absolutely no basis in reality. And I did kind of feel like a bad guy for ruining some people's dreams with a bit of reality. 

So yes, after I make my serious point and backing it up, I might make fun of the situation just like I would do to someone telling me they have this theory that the earth is flat.

But that has absolutely nothing to do with making fun of any person for liking whatever game they like. I'm sure I enjoy plenty of niche games and could not give 2 shits about anyone making fun of such genres.

To sum it up, it's fine to be a (insert random gaming company) fan, but if nonsense is being spoken don't be mad if I try to give my opinion on it.

Glad we sorted this out, words & a good communication are a powerfull tool in order to understand each other. I'm happy you're not another "Nintendo's 4 thee kiddie" imature douche. I love Nintendo, but I am a gamer above any other consideration, I play & I've bought most of Sony, PC, SEGA, Nintendo, Neo Geo... hardware & games I like, I've been gaming since the 80's!

sure, no hard feelings from my side, other than having been a Sega kid in the 80's and 90's I respect the nostalgia that Nintendo fans must feel for franchises that don't happen to resonate with me. I'd definitely geek the f*ck out if Sega was dropping some Shining Force or Streets of Rage love nowadays, but hey, it is what it is.
