So they're (in effect) getting out of the handheld business.
Look at their handheld sales totals for the last three generations versus their console sales and ask yourself if that really makes any sense whatsoever.
A Nintendo "console" doesn't mean "super duper power machine!" either. The last two Nintendo consoles used AMD chips too. You tell me where they stacked up to the Playstation or XBox.

I'm going to ask you is English your first language because your reply doesn't match anything said, the post even highlights the claim that the is a handheld on the way and your response is "So they're exiting the handheld business". No offence but either you read the post or don't reply with random arguments.
On the last 2 consoles guess what Wii U is more powerful than the PS3 and 360 and you have trouble thinking a NX console could be more powerful than the base model PS4? These arguments don't give you any ground as they're null and void by default, if the platform in March is a dedicated HC and not a hybrid it would be that out of the ordinary for them to have specs like that as PS4 wasn't even cutting edge on release 3 years ago.

Look if you want to believe in some super powerful 4 TFLOP, 100 watt, phone book sized NX, be my guest. Just don't come here complaining later on that you didn't get what you wanted when there were plenty of indicators otherwise.
I said the same thing earlier in the year when a certain group of Nintendo fans steadfastly refused to believe Nintendo would not support the Wii U for a full 5 years (because other Nintendo consoles have been supported that long). I've learned there's a certain stubborness to the point of blocking out even obvious facts to want to believe, but I will say those posters then came back and started complaining that they didn't get what they wanted, even though I told them like 50 times that Nintendo had basically given up on the Wii U and there were multiple credible sources stating as much (like Nikkei).
I do suspect actually that even if Nintendo shows the NX to be a hybrid a certain "stubborn" section of the Nintendo fanbase will continue to hold out hope for a "real console NX" that will have PS4 Pro-type specs. Some people are never going to let that go.
Having followed every Nintendo system's development from "inception" beginning with the Nintendo 64/Ultra 64, the period right before Nintendo reveals a system is always the worst. There's always a group of people who have invented some fantasy Nintendo machine in their head and won't let it go.
This is basically now the third straight time I've seen this same exact pattern happen basically exactly the same way.
