Good news. I don't want to buy 2 expensive VR headset.

I don't expect it to do gangbusters on pc because none of the headsets are.  I expect it to take a respectable portion of the pc share.  Enough to make it worth it for Sony and psvr.

The majority of headsets will play AA or AAA titles but they'll be missing a lot of them that are on psvr either exclusive or timed.  That makes psvr attractive for its line up,  not just it's price.

It won't be taking a respectable portion of the PC marketshare though, that's you basing it on what it's sold on Sony hardware alone, a system without any sort of VR headset competition, the same will not be said for PC, not with actual competition existing within that market.

Making games exclusive to PSVR headset on PC isn't going to help PSVR, we've already seen ill talk of VR headset exclusive games when it comes ot OR and it won't be looked on any different with PSVR when it comes to PC.

We're also forgetting about the Vive and other headsets in general, no one stated that they won't be egtting any decent amount of AAA-AA games (unless we are about to?).

As of right now they've got a poor AA and AAA line up especially for the super high prices.  They'll get more games of course but psvr will also get a lot more.

The price is low,  the line up is good,  if pc players want a moderately priced device with a good games line up they'll go for psvr in respectable numbers.

I wouldn't say or claim Serious Sam is "poor" for a game along with others like Alien Isolation, Eve and more. They will get more games in time just like everyone else.

THe price is low, the lineup is subjective (it's never going to be objective, so we really shouldn't start a new argument right there).

This back and forth hasn't really been going anywhere other than putting it out there that PSVR>every other VR when that won't be the case on PC.

PS VR is not that much cheaper than other VR Headsets such as OS VR. Most of the best PS VR games are or will also be available on PC. For example Battlezone is scheduled to release on rift at some point. Don't forget things such as Revive exist as well.  Why wouldn't some one come up with PSvive. And the most important thing of all is that PS VR tracking solution is awful.

That's my point.  it's subjective and a respectable chunk of that pc market will see the appeal of the psvr at its price and the games line up it has.

What percentageis "respectable" to you?.

In december :) after PSX 2016 :D

In Sony We Trust!

When they do that, they will PC will have one of the best headsets available. If your PC can render the Rift, it can downsample to PSVR at probably 120fps native. It would be the smoothest mainstream headset on PC.

It is here: CAD 615 for headset plus camera, CAD 850 for OR with camera.
Bundle with move, CAD 699, OR + Touch CAD 1130
HTC Vive is not in shops here, you can import it for CAD 1700 on Amazon.
Cheapest PSVR ready console CAD 380 (or get one second hand for even less), cheapest Rift ready PC CAD 1700.

The tracking solution is far from awful. It's far from perfect too, yet a lot more good than bad. In 25 hours I've only had 1 show stopping problem that required restarting the game. Hold option button down to reset your position works well enough.
The biggest problem is tracking the DS4. If it's not facing towards the camera it can't see the light bar.

Anyway I hope they'll share games, and make headsets interchangeable. Kinda ridiculous to need different tvs for different games... Hopefully there will be some standard protocol in the near future.

Let's say after it releases on pc the vr market does 1 million sales in the next 12 months after.  I'd call 250k of those for psvr.  So anything around 20/25% of sales going to it.
