The only news to expect this year is a "delay" with announcement of a full announcement in March instead of actual launch.

Expecting a "delay" around VGX in December, during all the other game news and PSX the news of a NX delay will be easier to stomach.

NX was likely never planned for a March release in the first place. Think about it, software for Wii U dries out, production has ceased, but to please investors this year and delay the bad news of bad Wii U support Nintendo claimed they WILL have a new platform by Q1 2017.

NX is driving every1 crazy lol. Its still plenty of time to reveal the console and have it release in march next year.

Nintendo also showed us that they dont follow a pattern so anything can happen. I find this situation deja vu to SSB for WiiU 2 years ago. Every1 was saying the game would be delayed because it was already mid oct and yet nintendo says "well ssbu coming out 3 weeks from now".

Difference here is a console being revealed this month or the next (heck even dec) still means they have 3-4months tp promote the thing lol.

I dont know, as i pointed out ssbu in the previous post i think there are other examples too. Though those are software rather than hardware.

Either way is it really that bad as every1 is making it out to be? I mean does a console need like 6months tp 9months to be revealed intill launch? Whats the problem with 2-4months?

There is a problem with that, and that is the lack of 3DS/WiiU software. There are very little 3DS games coming to the system (just one big title left, Sun/Moon), and the WiiU has just BotW left, which is even worse. If Nintendo decides to delay the NX to summer or fall, what are they going to do in the meantime? They have very little left for this year and even less for the next, they NEED the NX.

Why would we need reveals when we can have investor meetings?

They're probably trying to figure out how to squeeze a 4kUHD player into it.

I dont think so, but of course there is always possible for something like that, at end of month we will definitely have more infos.

I wouldn't fall out of my chair if it gets delayed(the reveal AND the release). Nintendo probably did not bank on Sony releasing the PS4 Pro so soon and the Scorpio coming out late next year.
