Forums - Gaming - Stats suggest a UHD player is pretty irrelevant.

Sounds like something a supporter of Cedar or Oak trees would say!  Sure, chop down and kill off all the 4kUHD trees!  I see right through you sir!

*Save the environment!  Save the Bluray 4KUHD tree!

What about those poor 4KTV trees and the fibre cable forest! And all those electric jellyfish needed to power streaming all those movies. Save the environment, tell stories to eachother around the campfire. Oh wait, I mean in the dark in a cave.

Lol, I see I have convinced another to join my cause!  My work here is done.

Now I must go protect the Galaxy Note flowers from evil doers...

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

Is this a PS4P defense thread? Because it feels like one. I'm going to be working on a 4K Bluray collection because I got a player that can do it. Same way I build up a DVD collection because of PS2.

But I think the point of this thread is that the majority of people aren't getting their media on discs anymore, like I said before on here, the convience factor of just how much content you can access now on systems without ever going and finding a disc of a movie to play is just so overwhelming I do think (and the numbers reflect) that the great majority use streaming digital media rather than going for the movie collection on discs, heck just in terms of from an environmental point of view, they are for the most part a waste of plastics in comparison to some space on a HDD or streamed from the net.

Actually it is a PS4 Pro defense thread. OP put it in Gaming. 🙄

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

Definitely a bad move by Sony. It could have been the all-in-one 4K machine. Gaming, streaming and physical media. It bewildered me just like when they only implemented 2 controller ports into the PS2.

Why is everyone on here supporting destroying the environment by chopping down the beautiful BluRay 4KUHD trees just to make your silly discs when safer options are available?

What options? Where can I stream upto 128 mbps 4K movies with lossless Dolby Atmos / 7.1 DTS HD-MA with extras included?
When can I get an unlimited 256 mbps or greater internet connection without having to move to a big city?

However I'll stick to blu-ray for now as 4K HDR is simply not mature enough yet for me. The revenant on blu-ray looked spectactular too, downsampling a movie produced in true 4K to 1080p shows on blu-ray too. Easily one of the best picture quality blu-rays I have and doesn't even compare to HD streaming on Netflix, especially not viewed on a projector. Plus most 4K movies are not even 4K yet. For example Warcraft is still mastered in 2K.

4K streaming really is ridiculously bad compared to disc, what's the bitrate on Netflix' 4K content? 30-40mbit or something? It's around the same level as a 1080p blu-ray if I recall correctly.

What you're doing here is obvious, Kerotan.

Gaming discussion, "Pointless" game added to it and considering your lack of a reply to anyone here after you were online 3 hours ago, it shows that all you care about is trying to prove that Sony lacking the feature isn't all that bad.

Don't let me catch you doing it again.
