Exactly, PS4s is not an upgrade, so it's incorrect to segment the sales and we should not be seeing much of a re-buy from early gen owners, although there will definitely be some of that.

Xb one S is an upgrade so we should expect a lot more early gen Xb one owners to buy Xb oneS. 

Hence PS4S and Xb oneS is an apples and oranges comparison.

It would be nice if we got the actual weekly sales numbers for the UK. I hate when sales data isn't made publicly available, as if it were some secret that needed to be closely-guarded and that the unwashed masses didn't need to see. We've been getting weekly publicly-available sales data from Japan non-stop since at least 2000, if not earlier, thanks to Famitsu and, more recently, Media Create.

Imagine how cool it would be if we got weekly USA and UK software and hardware numbers.

Your numbers are wrong. In the UK, it's closer 4K and 6K rather than 2K. This isn't continental Europe...

No you're wrong.  my numbers are correct because they're just an example to demonstrate how the percentages work.  There not meant to be fact. 

 

And yes we do use numbers aswell as revenue.  it's just we don't get numbers as often and many times we need leakers to find out.
