Ambrose passively defended the IC title... I think.  It was Reigns who never had one title defence after he took the U.S. title.  His only defence was dropping it to Jericho... months after he won it...  30 day clause needs to come back.

I got curious so I looked it up.  Ambrose, when he was with the Shield, held the US belt for 351 days, during which he defended it 14 times.  So, basically, an average of once a month.  Not great, not bad.  However, that included a 4 month stretch where he didn't defend it at all, which is terrible.

It really would be nice to see them enforce that rule on a consistent basis.  In the old days, they always made a big deal of forcing the heel to defend.

Yeah I think rules need to come back.  That and timeouts.  I think it's epic when two wrestlers can't beat each other.

Hall of Fame was great.
Beth Phoenix and Kurt Angle's speeches were awesome.
Now, on to TakeOver: Orlando. Should be awesome!

Also, I saw the G1 Climax Final from last year between Goto and Omega.
Yeesh, some of the shit they do in that match, you will NEVER see on the WWE main roster.
Strong Style is no joke!

Really great match too!

Yep, Hall of Fame 2017 was awesome and the Kurt Angle speech was priceless!!!

One day until Wrestlemania 33!!! Here we go!!! #Hype

And for those people who watch NXT, they will reveal new belt designs today at Takeover!

Yeah, it was an excellent match.  Omega vs. Naito from that same G1 was also great.  Goto is one of my personal favorites because he can wrestle or he can brawl with the best.  If you want to see stiff then watch any combination of Goto, Ishii, and Shibata--basically, any match for the NEVER title.  There is also the bonkers Shibata vs. Ishii G1 Climax 23 match from a few years ago where I thought they were going to kill one another.

Really fun tag match with Sanity in the NXT Takeover opener. Strong is one of the best, I'm expecting big things from him--though he's so much better as a smarmy heel.

Aleister Black looks scary.

I remember watching Shibata vs. Ishii from Wrestle Kingdom 10, where they were just playing a game of oneupsmanship by beating, punching, and kicking the shit out of each other throughout the match. I thought it was really freaking cool!

Stuff like that is missing in wrestling nowadays. We know it's scripted, but the beauty of it was that it looked and felt real because of the stuff they would do that made you flinch to the point where it hurt just watching it! We need more of that today.

Next stop for Nakamura: Main Roster

And that is a gorgeous looking new belt.
