They treat it as a MMo where expansions are more expensive.  If you owned Destiny from the beginning it was an expensive trip.

Why do you hate Destiny so much that you're not willing to pay this much? I guess it's only for loyal fans who actually enjoy the game.

Activision are probably the worst in the business. They gutted the original Destiny so they could make expansions and charge the consumer more. I purchased the original Destiny and played it for 4 hours until I realized the game sucked(my opinion) and I never even bothered to go back after The Taken King(what was supposed to be Day One Destiny). They have released the game now 3 times physically, it is an insult to gamers.

They've been overcharging for all their DLC. Why would they stop now? I mean of course they're going to give new buyers and people who jumped out forever ago more incentive, cus they clearly need it to give Destiny another shot, but the long time players.....of course they're gonna milk you, cus they know they can.

its so fucking expensive, its not a joke. i wont be buying Destiny 2 at launch, i will be getting the full edition a year later. or maybe 2 years later.

I can really understand that people who were playing Destiny since day one could be angry about that. I think that DLCs are extremely over-prized. I bought the collection with all the expansions, and I think it's a fair prize. But people who have bought all the expansions day one... I think it's really, really expensive.
