I think I'll have to say GTA5. I looked up some YouTube videos for comparison, and only inFamous 2 got even close. I think GTA5 wins the others by far though. That said, the game's framerate on PS3 is just horrible, so maybe the game would be better off not looking that good.

That's a bit unfair, don't you think? The game has as world map, after all, whereas the 'actual' areas are much smaller.

It has to be GTA V, that game felt more next-gen than most of PS4's launch games, and the improved PS4 version still holds up against most other games.

Red Dead Redemptions graphics were pretty bad on PS3
I really enjoyed the game, but boy was it a blurry mess just a few meters off in the distance and quite often you needed to aim at pixel goo in the distance and ofcourse the framerate was so-so at best aswell
Infamous 2 was a lot better graphically, especially in terms of image quality and performance
Final fantasy Xlll. The game becomes open world when you reach the archylte steepe.
