That happens to every company after success. Nintendo after SNES. Sony after the PS2. MS after the 360. Nintendo after the Wii. And now Sony with the PS4. You would think they learned their lessons already, but success seems to make these guys stupid.

I think they're happy that their console is overshadowing the other two guys without even so much as an unveil. As long as they have that kind of momentum, I think they're ok.

PS2 wasn't Sony first console.
It was a console after another successful, that didn't lead to what you pointed on your post.

Sony after the PS1 success made even more success, the PS2 didn't suffer from anything by following a successful console.

Thats why I didnt include the PS1. Just as I didnt include the NES.
