Or maybe it's so bad that they're too embarrassed to say anything. :P

"Nintendo is not ready to discuss it yet", so why announce it a year and a half ago?
That's exactly why Nintendo gets so many questions about it, because they wanted it.

You know why they announced it when they did.

You really think they have any sense of shame left?

After Metroid Federation Force?

Maybe because the reveal of the NX will have everybody directly comparing the NX with it's competitors and they know it's going to look bad on their part, while Metroid FF is on it's own with no other games to compare to lol

It was only until after the Wii U's poor sales that they realized they weren't gods lol

Yup, to shift the attention from the Wii U to it.
Now they don't want attention being on it...

No, it was announced during their mobile press conference to assure fans that they are still making traditional consoles.

That happens to every company after success. Nintendo after SNES. Sony after the PS2. MS after the 360. Nintendo after the Wii. And now Sony with the PS4. You would think they learned their lessons already, but success seems to make these guys stupid.

Very true.  Luckily/strategicly Sony was able to learn and bounce back after dropping the ball last gen to regain the thrown again.  Nintendo might be a slower learner as they've struggled 2 gens in a row with the N64 and Gamecube.  And if the NX falls short again then it'll be another 2 gens in a row.  Actually I dont even know what gen the Wii U and NX falls under anymore lol.

I see a lot of people calling the NX...IT. Wait a minute!
"It plays at home. It plays on the go." The Nintendo IT! That will be the name.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Ok...so I'm sure everyone can agree here that Nintendo needs to make a solid product and have it ready for launch. Launch is when this thing counts, right? Launch is what you guys are going to hold them to and declare that they weren't ready. So as much as I know that many fans (and foes) are clamoring for Nintendo to reveal their latest product, shouldn't it be more important that they are ready first? A March release is certainly a desirable thing, but the bottom line for Nintendo going into next fiscal year is to have a great product, a great launch, and an impressive lineup. It's very likely they listed the release as a March timetable just to not confuse investors about what to expect in this fiscal year. I know the internet will continue to cry and plead with Nintendo to give us information, almost like children wanting hints about their xmas presents, but as a sales analysis site I would hope that many here understand what is at stake for this company and would respect their need to have all their ducks in a row. They're not playing for this holiday...they're playing for next. Early adopters will line up and get the product if they announce a week before but those more fickle Holiday 2017 customers may not be around if they don't nail this thing from day one.

Maybe it's so good that they're hiding it from us for our own good. It's like the Ark in Raiders of the same. When they reveal it, make sure to close your eyes!
