Ok...so I'm sure everyone can agree here that Nintendo needs to make a solid product and have it ready for launch. Launch is when this thing counts, right? Launch is what you guys are going to hold them to and declare that they weren't ready. So as much as I know that many fans (and foes) are clamoring for Nintendo to reveal their latest product, shouldn't it be more important that they are ready first? A March release is certainly a desirable thing, but the bottom line for Nintendo going into next fiscal year is to have a great product, a great launch, and an impressive lineup. It's very likely they listed the release as a March timetable just to not confuse investors about what to expect in this fiscal year. I know the internet will continue to cry and plead with Nintendo to give us information, almost like children wanting hints about their xmas presents, but as a sales analysis site I would hope that many here understand what is at stake for this company and would respect their need to have all their ducks in a row. They're not playing for this holiday...they're playing for next. Early adopters will line up and get the product if they announce a week before but those more fickle Holiday 2017 customers may not be around if they don't nail this thing from day one.
