Forums - Politics - Oculus Rift creator secretly funded pro-Trump meme website

Also, I really don't like the idea of rich fucks spending money trying to tell me what to think. This goes for everyone but I especially hate to low brow shit like this because its like saying they can make us hate who they want and we are too stupid to see through it.

He can back whoever be wants, even if it's the KKK. The problem here is that he was doing it behind closed doors so not to damage his reputation and that of his product.

Additionally, with Zuckerberg having married someone who is far from being an American and himself being Jewish might land him in serious shit.

"Damaging posts"? The only damage being done is at Hillary's own hand.

Well, I guess Trump, too.

Man I hope Gary wins...

LOL, Let me just break it to you, Gary Johnson isn't winning anything. It's Trump or Clinton. Pick your poison.

You're what's wrong with the voting process.

"____ won't win because everyone is voting for [garbage], so I'm voting for [garbage]."

Fixed.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

And another witch-hunt has begun.

This is the same guy people believe to have "stolen" idea/research from another firm where he worked, before he did the Occulus rift thing?

And now hes funding White supremacist groups? what a nice guy.

Im not planning on getting a Occulus rift, and stuff like this makes me not want to support them either.

All aboard the boycotting Oculus Rift train!

This is where the problem is though as Facebook now owns Oculus and they didn't say this.

I guess thats abit unfair then yeah.

Has Facebook fired the guy that said those things? or does he not work at/with Oculus Rift anymore?

If so Facebook should issue a PR statement.

I really think the social issues are just a distraction.  I think for him its all about the money.  He wants the tax breaks.  So, money transcends race, religion and common sense.   Its just, as you stated, the subversive and covert means he is using.  And for his company, this is no good.  The reason is that you don't want your company to be precieved as having an operational bias.
