Forums - Gaming - Best Chair for console gaming

So I am trying to find something that supports good posture and won't leave my back aching.  I've had the Xrocker for a couple months and I just can't stand it anymore.  When I try to sit up straight the headrest goes into my upper back and I'm only 5' 10".  I like to sit up straight and not be pushed forward.  Seems like all the chair I try have their top hitting my shoulder blades when I don't slouch in them or they contour to make me slouch forward.  I just want something that I can sit up straight in and have some good support while PS4 gaming.  I have looked at DXRacer chairs but the reviews say the company is sometimes a pain to deal with (still very good reviews overall but expensive to take that risk).  Any other suggestions?  As you can tell by the DXRacer price I'm willing to pony up for back and head comfort.  I like to lean my head back into the headrest but the height is the key here.

Why do you want to sit straight?

Get a comfy reclining couch.

This is the new ergonomic way to work on pc/laptop apparently.

My back isn't all that great from many years behind the pc. Reclined on my home theater seating is most comfortable to me for tv and gaming.

By the way , you are always kidding around.

I'm using a Sumo Lounge Gigantor. I used to have the smaller Sultan and loved that thing. The Gigantor is more of the same but 6' diameter. It's comfy and you can always readjust it. Memory foam strips and beads work well. The gamer is a smaller individual size for $219 right now and they have a September 15% off they advertised.

My friends have a couple iJoy® 2580 Massage Chairs that was low to the ground like any of those game rockers. Felt like it would be perfect for some gaming.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Ok, I'm gonna be serious I guess.

I'm currently using the DX Racer 1. I'm 6'4" and it's quite comfortable. You shouldn't have a wide ass though or the sides of the seat will hurt.

It's great for PC gaming, I don't know if it works for console gaming too.

I see. Thanks.

Wow, people actually own dedicated gaming chairs here.

I'm so damn cheap, I don't even want to waste money buying a comfortable office chair, I sit and game on a good old wooden kitchen chair lol

For console gaming the best is armchair.

In my setup I switch between office chair and armchair, I can slide the armchair easily to my desk.
