At this point, NX feels like Half-Life 3, whenever someone shout out NX's release hint, Nintendo must be secretly delaying it.

Obviously, that was a joke. But I doubt he would risk going against Nintendo's NDA. Especially not this one.

very unlikely Nintendo releases info on the NX at a Gamestop convention rather than just through one of their own directs or a larger software publisher event. Don't see any big news happening tomorrow

They might have a deal with Gamestop. Give them the reveal for store space and other marketing.

Its already proved that was just a bad joke (I still can't believe that some people Nintendo will just revile NX without some kind announcement before that revile), Gamestop really have internal conference for employees about Nintendo products for holiday season, but they are doing that every year, so nothing unusual with this one.

When someone trolls thousands of people on purpose, said person usually isn't trusted anymore... no over reaction.

He's not entirely wrong though. From now on, every thread about some information coming from him will likely begin with something like "Hey, he's the guy who failed/trolled about NX, right? Fake."

He will need some really good insider info at least once to get back his credibility. And even with this, a lot of really good insiders or journalists still get insulted or are not trusted even when they have one bad info and a lot of good ones. "Welcome on the internet" or something like that I guess ^^.

Well, when your job involves accurately delivering information, that's kind of a big deal.  It's like if a quarterback throws an intentional interception just for the lulz.
