By the time a good selection of UHD 4K movies are out, and are at a better value.. standalone UHD players will be much cheaper and probably better and more feature packed. But yeah, not my decision..

And enjoy your 720-900p Xbox One Slim, for gameing on that same 4k TV.

I mean... why would you want to buy a PS4 Pro to play games at 4k, when you have a 4k TV right?

 

Yes the solution is to go over a year without gameing, and getting a 599$ scorpio sometime late 2017, early 2018.

ha, 50% of 8th gen games are PS exclusive.

Now we know who is dilusional. 

50% aren't available on XB1.

 

A large amount of that is PC/PS4, not PS4 Exclusive.

 

Another larger number of Sony Exclusive, meaning PlayStation family; not necessarily PS4 exclusive. 

 

Also, calling someone delusional is flaming.

Xbox Slim does support both common audio types. Unless you are going into insanely costly stuff, I don't think that defeats his arguement. 

A Microsoft representative who brings us Xbox signage told me it doesn't support Atmos and caps out at 7.1, is that not true?

I don't care about slight increase in performance in games, I have my PC for that. The only need I had for a new PS4 is 4k blu-ray, I feel ya OP, I really wanted it as well.
I find this somewhat odd since Sony have such a major stake in the blu-ray format and have a vested interest in the movie industry as well.
Are they quite simply losing faith in physical distribution of movies? I believe they are.

I'm going to walk away from this thread, it is going dangerous places, but I understand both sides, as a gamer I would never make the decision soundwave did. However I know soundwave is a movie goer, and I honestly seen him more in movie threads, than I do outside of that, so I understand his logic.
