My god, he's gone in the red :p.

This is what annoys me about Nintendo so much is how they always decide to go the path of underpowering their systems in order to try and have a lower price. In doing so they sacrifice third party support, and you can see how that won't always work out when you look at the Wii U, or likewise it could end up like the Wii. But still, this is an exact quote from Bethesda saying "Make it powerful enough to where we don't have to downgrade anything, and we'll consider supporting it" but then Nintendo will still think it will be fine if they underpower it or something. Nintend acts like there isn't an inbetween. You CAN have a powerful system and still keep it at a good price, just like when the PS4 launched at $399, but with Nintendo they act like it HAS to be one or the other. Especially considering the PS4 and Xbox One are years old now, so getting at least to their hardware level should not cost nearly as much by now, I would assume at least. But if the rumors apparently the NX won't even be powerful enough as an Xbox One are true (which could be false, we'll have to see at the official reveal). That's such a joke honestly. They're doing the same thing they did with the Wii U if that's the case. |
Nintendo had plenty of powerfull console before the Wii and it didn' really help with the 3rd party games at all. That support just kept sliding like their sales.

Inb4 they just give them the card game and the card game alone. I know that doesn't take a current gen system to run it, that's for sure.
I'd rather devs stop being so maybe and start being sure, last thing I want to see are a bunch of EA repeat approaches where they promise and sound interested but were never really all that interested and then proceed to mock Nintendo.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
Would like to see support from them, but it does look like they don't even remember the game they released for Nintendo was :/

It's kinda like the fat girl who's convinced herself men are evil and no man will ever like her ... honey if you actually lost the 200 pounds you're overweight in and changed your wardrobe, your chances of finding a guy would increase 20 fold.
Anyone who thinks the lack of power on the Wii and Wii U didn't impact third party support is lying to themselves.
The Wii would've gotten pretty much every third party game that gen (yes, GTAIV, Final Fantasy XIII, BioShock, Resident Evil 5/6, Street Fighter IV, etc.), if it was powerful enough to actually run the same games, even at just at 480p (1/3 the resolution).
The Wii U even with its crappy sales probably would still be getting some support if Nintendo had chosen a sensible GPU like a AMD 4850, which was available to them in 2010 and would be able to run most current games.
Talk is cheap. I'll believe it when I see it which means I'll never believe it.

Nintendo is the one that picks the hardware, the onus is on them to actually choose something sensible.

I'm sure they could just port over Skyrim (not even the HD remake) and sell about a million copies. Just like Rockstar could have ported GTAV to the Wii U and sold at least 1 million. Would they be run away hits? No but they would still make money.
": No, no. it’s usually been one of a technical… hardware issue. It’s just, what it is that the devs are making and what are the hardware requirements that they’re looking at, to support what they’re making? And what fits? And anything that is below the line is, ‘Well, we can make it work, but we’d have to cut this or that or do it like…’ But no, that’s not the point. The point is to take the game, as you designed it, and to get it working on those platforms. Not make a bunch of cuts and a bunch of changes and bring out some other version of it."
If that was the case then they wouldn't release games on consoles at all.. it is clear things had to be cut away from their games due to console limitations. Oh well.
