No. I owned a PSP for like a month after it launched and quickly traded it in.

Well, I've loved my Vita (and PSP before that) and have definitely gotten more play time out of it than my PS3 or PS4, but I really don't feel like much needs to be improved about it, you know? Apart from the L2/R2 buttons when using Remote Play, I'm happy with the device. The graphics still look pretty good, and I'd much rather better software support (Japanese games are great, but I honestly had so much fun with games like Amazing Spider-Man and Sly 4 on the Vita that I wish there were more NA games too) than a hardware upgrade.

I know there can definitely be improvements, like screen resolution, weight, size, network capabilities, etc. But if there's going to be another dedicated gaming handheld (which I really doubt) it just needs deeper support from more regions.

If Sony released a PS Vita with 4G LTE, 4GB RAM, 64GB Flash Memory, a USB C port, and added L2/L3/R2/R3, they would start moving units at PS4 numbers or greater. They could even the PS Vita Memory cards, and offer 128GB and 256GB versions. Since the system would have internal memory, the prices of the memory cards would be less of an impact.

Those couple of upgrades are all the Vita has needed to make it extreamly competetive in the mobile space. If they had started this whole scalable hardware thing with Vita, they could have made gradual steps towards this over the last 6 years, and they would be in a very powerful position right now in the mobile space.

The problem with the Vita is it is a portable home console, but without 4G LTE it is not a mobile device. You can't go play Call of Duty or GTA online, because it doesn't have the networking required to do that on the go. If they had that, then they would move consoles, and because they had more hardware on the market they would get more software, and the snowball effect would start to happen.

When we llok back in 10 years, people will see that the biggest two failures of the Vita were;

1) The lack of a 4G mobile connection.

2) The name did not clearly identify the device.

Vita needed 4G to make it a social/communication device that would reach pop culture and make it a cool thing. It also needed clearer branding, and better advertising. People still think the Vita is a PSP, and when they find out it is actually a Vita, and take a look at it, they go wow, that is a cool little device.

Sony could have giving Vita every game under the sun, but at the end of the day, Unlocked 4G is the killer app that Vita is and always was missing.

Yes. I'm a handheld gamer, the more competition the better. Plus I like what the Vita offers

Maybe. I really liked the Vita, and played it quite a bit when it was still receiving AAA titles. If they can make it a phone as well, I would be sold. And I dont mean like the Xperia Play. I hated that thing when I had one...

No, I don't buy Sony stuff.

I am a Nintendo fanatic.

Depend of the library but definitely not day 1

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

I'd be a bit hesitant after the Vita. I'd consider it of course though.
