Forums - Nintendo - Is it reasonable to be upset about the NX because it's worse than the rumors?

Eh. I'll just wait and see. Rumors are fun while they last.

Can it play games? I dont have many more expectations than that

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Well considering most, if not all, of the rumours so far have sounded like they'd make for a terrible console... yeah it would be pretty upsetting if NX ended up worse than them.

Would it have been that hard for a Nintendo exec to come out and laugh at how bad they are and just say 'don't worry guys, the NX will easily be better than that'?

I don't think they need to.  Even the people who are turned off by the rumors will still want to see if they're true or not.  The rumors keep them in the public mindspace, and if the rumors are false, they'll be forgotten the moment of the reveal.

These rumours make it seem like the NX is destined to fail. I hate it. Really hope that Nintendo makes a machine that's comfortable, sexy, and decently powerful.

I think what you are trying to say is "IF" it is worse than the rumours, not, because it is worse than the rumours.

Well in that case I have a wonderful Nintendo NX to sell you. It says "HP", looks suspiciously much like a laptop, and can play games if you don't mind playing in 480p, with all settings turned down as far as you can, and still look like a slideshow at an estimated 15 fps.

Oh yes, it's perfectly ok to be upset about the NX if it turns worse than some totally reliable rumors!

It depends, for example I would be extremely disappointed if NX turned out to not have the wheel triggers, not because of the rumors that listed them, but because Nintendo themselves made a patent about it meaning that they considered the concept...

There's really no reason to be upset especially with video games, especially Nintendo, as long as one has a reasonable common sense (expectation) to sum up whatever conclusion one may have of it.

A better word may be, "disappointed" if that even matters really.

As long as I can play Nintendo games on it, I will not be disappointed.

(IMO) Nintendo exclusives are the best out of the three manufacturers so regardless of the hardware specs I WILL be grabbing an NX at some point.
