The NX will be around but the 3ds install base is too big to ignore. The device still ranks as the second best selling worldwide and until the launch of the NX it won´t fall from that position

I can see indie developers making games for it for at least two years

by support i assume it means Japanese localizations, low budget children's titles and indie titles.

I dont expect any major titles from Nintendo after Pokemon Sun/Moon.

You forgot "subject to change". 

They barely support it now in 2016. I don't even expect to see it in production then. 

I don´t know about 2018, but 2017 is going to be another great year for the 3DS :)

Makes sence since the 7th gen of Pokémon has just started, if we get a third title next year and then a remake in 2018 everything makes sense...

They probably mean they release New 3DS mini, or a New 2DS lines to milk the product.
