Will the 3DS also get a Mother 3 port before or after 2018?
She's just covering her ass in case her NX "leaks" are BS (spoilers: they are)

Huh? I don't believe the 3ds will receive first party support after NX releases... Sure there might be a couple of games that launch after the NX comes out, but the only first party software that will come to 3ds after the NX releases will be games that are currently very near to the end of their development cycle.
So definitely no first party releases in 2018.
So... Nintendo is going to keep supporting a system with a large install base? And, they may change that plan?
World class shit right there man.
If the Nintendo direct wasn't give away enough, the 3DS 80k a week sales might be, or maybe the already announced line up. I don't expect anything major outside of them publishing Capcom/SE games in the west.
Brain Training (2017)
Ever Oasis (2017)
Dragon Quest XI (2017)
Monster Hunter Stories (2017 west)
Pikachu Detective (2017 west)
I can see 4/5 titles being ported to the NX. (DQXI is confirmed)
Why does this shock anyone? 3DS just won last NPD and routinely beats X1 in WW sales - even when you take Japan out of the mix. Why kill it so quickly?
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
I think she is right... some 3ds games will be release until 2018... Nintendo will keep supporting with Nintendo selects and Indie games!
Switch!!!

Even if Nintendo doesn't release games for the platform, I can see plenty JRPG support for the handheld in years to come, just like the Vita still gets a surprisingly large amount of games.

Yeah, I expect the 3ds WILL be supported well into 2018 by third parties. So the console will be supported but I don't give Emily Rogers much credit at all after a statement like this.
