We should get digital sales for July from Famitsu today, right?

Get to work hiska-kun! How do they get released by the way? I always wondered. Is it on their website or in their magazine?

Magazine, they've never updated the numbers on their site. I'll buy it later today.

What the hell? What's with the PS4 dropping like a rock all of a sudden?!

Real rough looking numbers all around, shame to see.

Except for the 3DS though. Still above 20k XD

That's still pretty meh, here is what it did in the same week in previous years

2011-59k

2012-74k

2013-62k

2014-36k

2015-48k

PS4 has a shortage currently.
It's clear that they are discontinuing the OPS4.
Clear out the stock and release a new model.

As for Vita, It needs a new type of game that will revitalize it. This niche games has done it's part already
or a price cut (afaik there's isn't one yet).

For 3DS. it will sell again when Pokemon Sun and Moon is out and I think it will be the last push for the system

For Hatsune Miku. It's a bomb alright.
Nice 2nd week and hold for Tales.

Federation force lol
No man's sky lol
nothing surprising here

Awful numbers everywhere with the exception of 3DS

Will the ps4 continue doing bad numbers like that until the slim releases!?

On its final year. And the Smartphone domination. And how theres not much games for the 3DS that is coming. I think its fine.

You got other console and handheld that have sooo much games coming are doing below the 3DS.

Agree. The upcoming games cater to an audience that already own a Vita. Unless a new IP (or smaller game) surprises and as you say revitalizes the system, I don't think any game would be able to move a lot of hardware. Except of course if Vita got a mainline entry in Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest or Yo-kai Watch as the far majority of those audiences still haven't bougth a Vita. But with Nintendo's lock on these 3 this gen, that probably won't happen.

Though looking at the Japanese top 10 best selling PSP games, there are other system selling games still lacking from Vita's library.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a new Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts game for Vita though.

TGS will be interesting in that it'll show us what Sony intends to do with their handheld division. A no show is also useful information
