Well I was also terribly wrong unless I missed it last week? No?
Now I think they're going to wait until the new year, holiday season's almost upon us.

Well, all you September people are proven wrong now. October is looking unlikely now as well. It's going to be January!

Yeah, If October is going to be the month, then would need to give a direct date this week or so.
In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.
Yeah, I would think it would be odd to do a reveal after October. I really thought September made the most sense. Granted we're only hitting the mid-October area now. November is when holiday marketing really kicks in, so it could still happen in October. After that, I'd be betting on a January reveal as well, which is really crazy to me.
BTW -I stopped taking predictions for the OP at this point as it wouldn't be fair to those of us who predicted earlier and now can't change.

Moment NX missed E3 it was obvious that September-October is best bet for revile, we are definitely getting some official NX infos this month (latest at investor meeting).

Why October is looking unlikely now as well!? Best beth is for October reavile not January.
1st, we're already in the holiday season marketing window. The majority of new product demand is for Christmas gifts, not something coming out next Spring.
2nd, Nintendo is doing what most successful products do, unveiling close to the launch date, not a huge amount of time in advance. The problem with these long runways that some products do is that they run out of steam before launch. Unveiling in January means that Nintendo is unveiling in the correct window, AND they'll be able to maintain the unveil buzz until launch, since there's no Christmas in the way.
3rd, there is not that much time left in October. The lower the amount of time, the lower the probability.

Jigg(saw) last friday.
Super Mario Village. Reminds me of Dark Cloud. You assemble the town with jiggsaw-shaped pieces. Once the diorama is done Mario gets small by being hit by a sort of toy hammer and explores it in 3d, Super Mario 3D World-style, with the added ability of a rotating camera. The camera rotates at 45 degrees steps. Black jiggsw pieces generates "bad" places such as haunted castles and weird pits. The pits are interesting, as propose a vertical gameplay a-la Downwell. Once the game is brought around in Walk Mode it becomes some kind of Animal Crossing with lots of street-pass like features. Once you reconnect the game to the home module new jiggsaw pieces are generated and you can enlarge the town. You can even name the town. Jiggsaw pieces have an expiration date. After that they become black-corrupted pieces. You may want to make this happen intentionally. Game is linked with meteo forecast, meteo events plays a role in the village, adding rain, flood, wind. Lots of loot in the game. It seems a blast.
