Why does it say "Sony:NMS" in the thread title? Hello Games developed and published NMS.
Get your fudging facts straight.

Don't Sony just show what they are given? |
I don't know what happens behind closed doors at SIE but I'm 99.99% certain Sony takes a look at what is being shown at their E3 shows before the footage takes the stage.

This is another subject altogether, the third different subject on this thread. So what your talking about is if a developer shows something at your show, you need to somehow predict 🔮 what the final version will be like and then allow or prevent that developer showing that content at your show based on your prediction.
Yeah, that's not going to happen. Almost impossible to do. Title is wrong and needs to be changed or add it what I told you to do.

The OP just shows 2 vids and then you wrote it doesn't look the same to final version. While I agree, there as been many topics covering this. |
Not that I'm aware of.
| SWORDF1SH said: Hello Games are independent and NMS is muliplatform. Cod, Battlefield, Fallout etc have appeared at Sony and MS presentations, would Sony or MS be responsible for those games? |
I would hold both equally responsible for footage shown at E3. In this case, I hold both Sony and Hello Games equally responsible for NMS footage shown. That said, this thread is not so much about allotting responsibility, it's about determining whether E3 videos were misleading or not.
| SWORDF1SH said: Anyway, like mentioned before, a better example is the 4 pillars vids because that is Sony marketing and they use old, better 'gameplay' footage. As far as I'm aware nobody as covered it with a thread yet do maybe use those vids. It fits in exactly with your title. |
I have not seen these vids so I cannot comment on them. I have seen the YouTube ad for NMS which uses very quick cuts of gameplay footage which I don't find terribly objectionable.

Because of the immense platform Sony provided NMS.

I think one possible solution is to not show footage of what is clearly not the game and then title it "gameplay trailer" as the E3 2014 video is titled.
That said, what title change are you suggesting?
Well I did try to help but you're trying to put square pegs in round holes. It's clear that you made this thread in retaliation to the GeOW thread and tried to make it fit. It doesn't. Even though I've told you what would you are still trying to find an angle to make this thred work.
So on that note I'm out of this thread.

I am open to changing the thread title if you can convince me.
I guess you're a Gears fan now; welcome to Xbox community, I always thought you didn't game much on Xbox but you're stuck now.
Like a good xboxer, you're making a lot of people mad here.
And the answer is obvious to your question, RIME was dropped due to development hell. Just saying.

I actually do like the Gears of War games. Loved playing Horde mode on Gears 2.

That is not nor ever was my intention.

I'm not sure what you're getting at.
