Cool thread. I had not seen this.
Didn't know there was a safe place to talk about this game on this site.

I'm curious, has anyone masterd any aliens language yet?

No idea when you master a language, I'm 3 words shy of 500, most of them vy'keen. Aout 60-70% of their text is now readable.

Holy cow!  I guess I'm nowhere near understanding korvaxian :(.

when they said there were languages I expected dumbed down versions you learned quickly.  This seems like fairly large vocabularies considering.

i have no idea why learning a language has me so hooked.

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

I am on the other side of my sig....am I warm or cold?

No Man Sky could bring back: Hooked on Phonics.

Anyone see any patch notes for Update 1.05? I just got it, but can't find anything.

I'm assuming they scanned all the text used in the game, filtered all the unique words, and dish out a random one at a time with some important ones like isotope etc given priority. I'm now down to learning the Vy'Keen word for Hmmm, and I've had plenty that are variations of the same word, different times of verbs etc. It's not a very efficient way of learning a language but it has me hooked too, always scanning for monoliths and spending that extra 20 carbon for another word. The way they talk is interesting too once you can understand the words.

Lol, I must admit that if I walked in on a buddy who was so intent on learning fake languages as I've become I'd probably make fun of him but that's where I'm at.  Intently trying to master a fake video game language.  To what end?  I don't know.

Ha, I'm glad I'm not the only one.  I've been hooked on other game hitches that require grinding but I think this might be the first time it's trying to learn a fake language.

There are so many things in hooked too. First it was the language, then it was completing the Atlas path, now it's maxing out my suit and following the black hole path.

I also want to get a new ship that had about 40 slots. My current one has 32 and i was going to go for a 33 one I found at a crash site, but the problem was having to get the material for some of the higher end gear i had.

On a side note, if you have a warp drive Theta, can I get rid of the Sigma, or do these stack as well?

The warp drives stack as well, with all 3 of them linked up with the hyperdrive I can jump a bit over 1600 ly a go.

I don't know if anyone as mentioned it but I've found sand on a planet but in patches. As anybody found a desert yet?
