Clear fact is that cites just now beginning to bring that Yahoo speculation from May and that numerous cites now included now that infos now without any source or some kind of confirmation.

On other hand we have Eurogamer article from two weeks ago that saying NX using Nvidia and infos that Eurogamer wrote are confirmed buy Wall Street Journal, IGN, Kotaku and MWC, also SemiAccurate and Digitimes also stated that NX using Nvidia, and it was also confirmed buy some leakers.

Didn't Eurogamer also confirm that 3DS was going to go with Nvidia too? That didn't pan out.

Yes, but their report on 3DS came much farther away from launch (16 months), and wasn't backed up by mutiple other sources the way this report on NX has been. Plus, they ran the 3DS speculation through Digital Foundry initially, whereas this NX report was pushed as a news story from EG itself, rather than a speculative technical piece from DF.

In addition, Nvidia have now confirmed there will be no new Shield tablet device, which strengthens the suggestions Nvidia have won a major contract for Tegra and that the device in question would be NX. Nintendo have the potential to shift tens of millions of units of NX, which is far above what another Shield tablet would sell. Plus, recently filed patents show the detachable controllers for a portable device concept EG were claiming as NX's core idea. Granted Nintendo don't use every patent they file, but it shows that EG have had solid information about whatever's going on in Nintendo's R&D.

We should find out next month, but I think Eurogamer are mostly right.

And 3DS was really using Nvidia chips in early development but Nintendo ditch them because we're too power hungry if I am informed well, now we have Eurogamer article just 7 months before NX launch and infos from that article were confirmed by several very reliable sites like WSJ and IGN, also buy Kotaku, MWC, SemiAccurate and Digitimes.

Still wouldn't believe it. Things change and there is evidence that it could go the other way too. I'm just saying don't trust a site that was wrong before and treat it as gospel when it could end up being very wrong.

Nvidia leaving the tablet business could also be a indication that they are focusing on their smart car initiative. The tablet market isn't a big seller if you're selling your tablets for big cash. But in the smart car market they could be getting in on the ground floor of something bigger. Again Eurogamer were positive about something before and were wrong. All they'll say its no skin off their backs and roll on. Meanwhile people who were waiting for Nintendo to reveal NX had to listen to a bunch of stuff that didn't happen.

There are people in here that should learn to begin a sentence with the words "in my (humble) opinion", instead of smashing other posters with theirs "truth"/"facts"!!!
Nobody in here, me included knows anything about NX except what Nintendo has already said, what we have are opinions, theories, guesses... we try to anticipate what Nintendo is doing with NX by searching the Internet, I don't know if Nvidia, AMD, Intel, IBM or Santa Claus is the one behind NX silicon, but MY OPINION is that looking at what professional sites say on the matter, the financial reports of the said companies & the history of Nintendo, it's more likely to be AMD rather than Nvidia to be at the oven... again MY OPINION, not a fact!!!

All th other sites just piggybacked the Eurogamer "leak", my opinion on the matter is that the only "source" of this rumour is Emily Rogers, hardly a trustworthy source if you're seeking hard evidence, but again: JUST MY OPINION!!!

It's not exactly same thing when you release article about hardware 16 months before launch and without backing and confirmation from other places, and when you release article only 7 months before launch and with confirmation of that article form very reliable sites.

I will definitely believe site that is actually very reliable and when their story was confirmed from multiply also very reliable sites. At this point I am 90% certain that NX will have Nvidia chips.

WSJ and IGN are not exactly cities that piggyback leakes and rumours (thats way are they consider for very realible), and confirmed them without actually real confirmation from their sources, also SemiAccurate and Digitimes talked about NX using Nvidia before Eurogamer article.

You are totally wrong if you think that Eurogamer will make article based only on Emily Rogers rumours, or that WSJ and I will confirm those EG rumours based on some Twitter leker. Eurogamer specifically said they got confirmation from multiple sources.

I trust Eurogamer as much as Kotaku or Polygon... bad imature professionals with agendas IMO!

I'm not saying they are wrong, again, Nintendo NX could be anything, powered by any company, but my experience, my nosing around the internet, my logic & gut feeling makes me lean towards an AMD powered NX, whatever it is: home console, home console+handheld, hybrid system, modular system, tablet, phone...

Nintendo might be cooking an AMD home console doubled with a Nvidia handheld console!!! In that case, we would be both of us right! Have you thought of that???

Again, just opinions, mines, yours... you know as much as me & anyone else, I really dislike when people discuss these matters in a "religious/dogmatic" way, remember Obi-Wan wise words: "Only the Sith deal in absolutes"... |o|

You realize most of those sites were using Eurogamer as their confirmation? I still wouldn't take much stock in it until its finally announced.

Eurogamer is more confident than Kotaku and Polygon, but its not only about Eurogamer, it's about that their article is confirmed by other confidend cities, that make huge difference.

There is zero sense to make Nvidia handheld and AMD home console because Nintendo all the time talk about their unified library and how they want to have very easy and singular development platform, and having total different architecture in their products are totally against that plan.

I dont talk about opinions at all, I talk about infos we have buy this point, it's totally relevant what you or me thinking, and with infos we having its very obvious and its almost certain that NX will have Nvidia not AMD.
