The cool thing about playing this game in English is that my daughter can sit and listen along while I play. But is it something she should be exposed to? She's 5 BTW.

It would be very boring to watch because a lot of it is still pics.  There is some questionable content though as the game is a murder mystery game.

Yes with a caveat of having them look away during the "verdict" scenes. Those are cartoony but tend to have a lot of blood and violence.

I don't remember anything else not child friendly. I don't recall any sex or cussing.

There is a bit of foul language if you are gonna have it going in English.  Particularly in the second one where one of the characters static lines for the read-only portions is "shit" and anothers is "bastard"

Heh, I'm the exact opposite. The sole reason that I stick to the dub is because I prefer Monokuma's English voice.

I find it pretty funny to read many "take english, you don't have to read that way", because it's a debate we had the last 2 days on a french forum (talking about Persona 5). Lots of us will play a game in English or Japanese even if there is a good French dub, because reading subtitles is just normal stuff for us (we're used to English-only content). But our consensus was that English-speakers usually hate to read any subtitles and want/need a dub to play and enjoy a game, and then Japanese games need to get an English dub to be successful in US and UK (but can be pretty successful in non-English speaking countries without a dub) . Cultural differences I guess.

I'd recommend the dubbed version, I think it'll be of great use during the class trials since it'd be better to hear the dialogues and make your arguments faster.

I don't like Japanese VA. Go English usually a lot less cheesy and over the top

Double ditto. It is worth playing in English just for Monokuma. xD I think his English voice sounds better than the Japanese one, though the reference on the Japanese Monokuma is likely lost to the west.

I think I see what you are saying.  I'm a North American.  And I might be in the minority when I say that I normally prefer the original language to a film or a game like in this case.  If it's a great foreign film (to the Americans), it doesn't bother me to read subtitles.  In the case with Danganronpa, I don't know what bad Japanese dubbing is since I cannot speak Japanese.  But I know bad English dubbing.  Having a choice is good, and I don't knock a person's preference.  But when reading becomes such an inconvenience to someone, it shows lack of mental effort.

That's true, I like the idea behind Monokuma's Japanese VA but since I don't know anything about Doraemon, it doesn't hold much meaning for me.

Isn't his voice the same as the one who does Teddy in Persona4?
