Got that while looking for it from mediafire, unless another link, maybe you could send me a PM if you have it handy? wouldn't mind checking out a remake of return of Samus.
Edit - Found it! :)

Glad you did! Can't believe they took that down. I think the other download links in the dev site should work if anyone else wants to download it too.

The torrent link from their dev site works fine.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

You'd think they'd embrace it or something, but nooo. Well, Nintendo, how about you give us a new 2D Metroid so people don't feel the need to make them themselves??

Nintendo keeps falling deeper and deeper into the abyss. Shameful. The way they've been treating Metroid is disgusting. This is getting to Capcom/Megaman levels of bad.

this sort of stuff is nonnews. If a random group of kids took a Halo game and enhanced and totally changed it and released it online, guess what- Microsoft would take it down.

Its quite simple- these are these company's IPs and they almost certainly have plans for them. We're talking active franchises where there is value from retaining artistic control and acccess onsome level. I mean for gods sake Nintendo still SELLS their original Nintendo/Gameboy games in the Eshop and in compilations- why on Earth would they want enhanced editions of their code/game floating around when they haven't given permission. It only hurts them

a better topic to get annoyed with Nintendo about would be their super anal attitude about people playing their games on like Youtube, their newer games primarily, without getting permission or giving them part of the ad revenue. That's just  a stupid angle for them to go, hurts their publicitly

Not surprised, but still disappointed.

The difference is that Capcom actually embraces and promotes Mega Man fan games.

Nintendo's fighting a losing battle. This thing's on the net, there's no getting it out of there.

If in fact this DMCA was issued by Nintendo. I recall reading recently of people posing as Nintendo and issuing C&Ds.

Sadly, it is. The developer confirmed it was real and removed the download link from his website.

Dumb move, things like these increase or keep alive the interest of your franchises and nobody lose anything, the creators don't even get money from this, and is kind of a pity because the game is actually really good.
