this sort of stuff is nonnews. If a random group of kids took a Halo game and enhanced and totally changed it and released it online, guess what- Microsoft would take it down.
Its quite simple- these are these company's IPs and they almost certainly have plans for them. We're talking active franchises where there is value from retaining artistic control and acccess onsome level. I mean for gods sake Nintendo still SELLS their original Nintendo/Gameboy games in the Eshop and in compilations- why on Earth would they want enhanced editions of their code/game floating around when they haven't given permission. It only hurts them
a better topic to get annoyed with Nintendo about would be their super anal attitude about people playing their games on like Youtube, their newer games primarily, without getting permission or giving them part of the ad revenue. That's just a stupid angle for them to go, hurts their publicitly
