LOL Patcher still has a job so he must be doing something right. Those that complain just hate on him since he gets payed for what we do for free on these forums which is just estimate based on trends on the data currently available. Main reason he is used so often is because he does get inside information from time to time which is useful. Otherwise just pretend his a forum poster and you will be alot happier about yourself.

Personaly, I would say 3:2 : it will be very tight because in Europe, I think a lot of people will think GTA = Sony .

GTA IV hasn't even  been announced for Japan, San Andreas was released three years later.

well its a good thing I am talking about LT sales.... but you make a valid point. If it gets release in 2 years expect the ps3 user base to be 6 times that of 360's and expect the ratio to be more like 5:1 then

Even if you take away my japanese sales the ratio would be more like 1.5:1 aka 5.8 to 8.7

Pachter is wrong half of the time (so when right it seems it´s by pure chance, he predicted GTA III would sell less than 300K, he was wrong by 10s of millions). I think GTA IV on the PS3 will considerably outsell the 360 version in Europe and Japan. For North America I expect the PS3 version to perform better than the 360´s install base advantage ratio.

Even for the UK where the 360 still has near a 2:1 install base lead over the 360, at amazon.co.uk the PS3 version is steadily outranking 360 preorders for this game. Currently ranked 2, only topped by GT Prologue.

Sorry but some of the stuff he says is just beyond stupid... You'd also think that the iSuppli guys got their job for a reason, but it's pretty hard to fathom what that reason might be when you look at their outputs.

But i think your 660k figure for PS3 first week in North America should be closer to 1 million. I could see there being 1 copy of GTA4 per 3 PS3's in North America.

Will the downloadable content really be 20$-30$? I hope not. I just recently downloaded the Mass Effect mission module for like, $5. It adds an estimated 1.5 hours worth of extra stuff on a new asteroid with a new alien race.

Anyways Im getting the 360 version of GTA, since I like acheivements and downloadable stuff.
