While we are waiting for y-koron to post the 1st day sell # of Japan market, let me report the tentative result of the montrous hit for PSP: Monster Hunter Portable 2G.

According to sinobi, http://ameblo.jp/sinobi/

MHP2G sold 670K on the 1st day: 652K regular version (90% sell through) + 17K bundle.
In February 2007, MHP2 sold 512K on day 1: 497K regular version (80% sell through)+15K bundle.

MHP2G is sold out in many retail stores. Some people are paying 3 times of the retail price at Amazon.com.jp to play this game...... @@

Very good start for MHP2G! Capcom should have no problem meeting their forecast # (they raised it to 900K for this quarter, I believe)

OMG !!! This is much more than what I was expecting ... Its pretty damn impressive , and with its much smaller instal base it looks at least as impressive as previous Pokemon sales :)
