He didn't say holiday 2017, but the holiday season is when 3 out of the 4 last 3D Mario games have come out. I don't see it at launch or as a summer title.

That doesnt mean nothing, almost every Nintendo console expect 3DS was launch in holiday season also, game could easily be launch title, or for instance May title or even September title, doesnt need to be at all summer title, also regardles this rumour game could easily be holiday game, in any case new 3D Mario will be out next year.

Of course. Having 2 major titles, Zelda and Mario, would help the NX quite a lot in 2017. There's also Mario Kart. Who knows when that's coming out!

I hope this comes true, or else the NX will be dead in the water, but we've also heard things like this before - how strong the line up will be and all that.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

They better got a full first year line-up ready to go. Looking at their overal market presence, they cannot fail in that first year.

The NX will be made or broken in that first year. It's on like donkey for the NX.

Pretty much. They need to not only come out swinging, but maintain the momentum and not fall into a software drought through mid 2017. It's put up or shut up time for Nintendo with NX; their future in the hardware business depends on NX's first year.

Shh don't ruin this, it's Pokemon Snap <3

Dear God I'd kill for a Snap 2

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

Yep, they need to come out like they did with Wii in its first 18 months.

Q4 2006-Wii Sports, Twilight Princess, Excite Truck

Q1 2007-Wii Play, WarioWare

Q2 2007-Paper Mario, Mario Party, Big Brain Academy, Pokemon Battle Revolution

Q3 2007-Mario Strikers, Metroid Prime

Q4 2007-Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, Battalion Wars, Fire Emblem, Mario Galaxy, Link's Crossbow Training

Q1 2008-Endless Ocean, Smash Bros

Q2 2008-Mario Kart, Wii Fit

A consistent release schedule with a good mix of genres and casual/core split.

Hopefully the merging of their divisions will help make things easier in terms of communication and getting games done on a more consistent basis.

An augmented reality version Pokemon Snap (similar to Pokemon GO, except made to run on the NX portable) could be the biggest thing since Pokemon GO. ;)

A Pokemon Snap 2 for NX that somehow interacts with Go would be brilliant. Maybe you could send pics from each between the two games, and doing so from Snap 2 would cause whatever the pokemon in the pic was to appear in Go, with maybe higher CP for better pics. But maybe limited to like once per pokemon or something.

Well MK8 was launched in 2014, best guess is that we will have MK9 in 2018.

Not only that handheld and home divisions are merged now, but its fair more important than Nintendo basically have only one platform to support.
