That's because the only solid movies from DC for the past decade have been Watchmen (imo) and the Dark Knight films. Whereas in the meantime, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had a bunch of solid films stretching across the genre. You have your space adventure Guardians of the Galaxy, military/espionage Captain America, the overblown Avengers, and some absurd concepts done well like Ant-Man. Even Fox has put out a couple of good movies the past decade using the licenses they won't let go of, including Deadpool and X-Men First Class. And in the larger world of comic adaptations, you have Kick-Ass, Scott Pilgrim, and Kingsmen. |
You rarely see any good DC-universe movies, because DC characters are shallow and one-dimensional, whereas Marvel characters are usually more complex and keep questioning their motives - which doesn't mean that Fantastic 4 did not suck.
