It does seem critics are out to get DC movies.

That's because the only solid movies from DC for the past decade have been Watchmen (imo) and the Dark Knight films. Whereas in the meantime, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had a bunch of solid films stretching across the genre. You have your space adventure Guardians of the Galaxy, military/espionage Captain America, the overblown Avengers, and some absurd concepts done well like Ant-Man. Even Fox has put out a couple of good movies the past decade using the licenses they won't let go of, including Deadpool and X-Men First Class. And in the larger world of comic adaptations, you have Kick-Ass, Scott Pilgrim, and Kingsmen.

You rarely see any good DC-universe movies, because DC characters are shallow and one-dimensional, whereas Marvel characters are usually more complex and keep questioning their motives - which doesn't mean that Fantastic 4 did not suck.

Finally saw this last night, OMG what a mess. Such a shame as the concept was good, potential characters good but the story and dialogue have to make it one of the worst super hero movies ever made.
