Hard to say, MK8 is really great, but 3Dworld with people is crazy fun, more than NSMB, and is also a really good single player game.

I can say I personally had more fun playing local in 3DWorld than MK8 and I found funny that one casual friend of mine that didn't even knew what a WiiU was, bought one in Xmas after a weekend playing 3DWorld with me and a friend. She didnt even wanted to play and at the end she absolutely loved it.
