I was expecting a Xbox One S to be in top 20 or even top 10 by now but I didn't expect the 1TB Madden bundle to do so well and the "limited edition" 2TB to be still hanging around. It's not doing too bad considering this is just a revision in hardware with no price cut.

3 xbox one s bundle over the ps4 nice

Honestly I wish Sony would make the slim official today so we can see a slim PS4 light some fire in this amazon game

2 hours before the official launch of the 500GB SKUs in North America. Two 500GB SKUs above the PS4 on Amazon, which means the XBO is ≥2x the PS4 there, possibly closer to 3x depending on how big that #36-#53 gap between the 2TB XBO S and the Fool's edition is in terms of units sold (that's the problem with relative "1st, 2nd, 3rd, ..." rankings; they can't give us exact sales numbers or even proportional sales).

We can only say that one won, but we can't say by how much.  Next NPD will be released at September 8, so isn't so far.

I'm was talking about the hourlies. At Amazon.com the XBO S was selling at least two times what the PS4 was selling last night when I made that post, and is currently selling at least three times what the PS4 is. For the month we only know that the XBO is the #1 console. Personally, I think it think it will have easily cleared 300k for the month, whereas the PS4 likely won't sell much more than 170-180k.

Do you think that Xbox One will be up YOY in the holidays?  Will the PS4 Slim+Neo+VR  overshadow it ?

The console market isn't a zero-sum game where one system's growth has to come at the expense of another system. I think both the PS4 & XBO will experience healthy YoY growth during Q4. I think the XBO will sell at least 3.5M in Q4, while the PS4 should sell well over 4M, maybe closer to 4.5M depending on the PS4 Slim's price tag. Both of them could potentially do even better than that.

We already talked about PS4, so why not, let's make my XBO prediction too :p

Aug - 350k

Wow.....this was not expected at all....good to see 3 XB1s SKUs above the PS4 but why are they so low? I would have thought they or at least oen of them would be in the top 10 no less than the top 20......very unexpected.

It's likely due to A) newer software releases (NMS, Deus Ex, Madden) taking up the top 20, and B) sales being split fairly evenly between three different SKUs.

Yeah I can see that and thought that but then was like I am not sure lol.

Yeah, it must be because sales are evenly split between 3 different SKUs. Overall the XB1S seems to do good.

But I see why you're surprised though. Usually new hardware (like slim revisions) easily takes several top spots at retailers. Like when the Xbox 360 Slim or PS3 Slim launched. Initially, they almost performed like completely new consoles.

Maybe slim revisions don't have that kind of impact anymore? Maybe PS4 Slim won't either?
